We started Meridian because we were tired of the way our own trade treated the people paying for it.
When we founded Meridian in 2008, we'd both spent years watching good families get the contractor runaround — vague bids, surprise change orders, a job site they weren't allowed to understand. The fix turned out to be simple: draw everything before you start, price every line of it, and let the homeowner watch the whole thing come together.
So that's the company we built. One crew, a handful of projects a year, and a written warranty on every home. We don't chase volume, and we don't subcontract the trust away. Most of our work starts with a referral from the last family we built for — which is the only marketing a builder should need.

Draw everything first
Before a price exists, there's a full drawing set. You approve the plans, then you approve a fixed number tied to them — so there's nothing to "discover" mid-build.
One crew, start to finish
The same lead carpenters who frame your house finish it. No revolving door of strangers, no handoffs where details get dropped.
Open site, weekly updates
Walk the job whenever you like. Every week you get a plain update on what's done, what's next, and where the schedule stands.
Written warranty
Every home leaves with a warranty in writing. If something needs attention after move-in, you have it in hand — not a verbal promise.
